  MADAM PRESIDENT:  I am directed to inform your honorable body that the
  House has on January 17, 2001, adopted the following resolution in which the
  concurrence of the Senate is asked:

  House Concurrent Resolution 3, a concurrent resolution
  supporting the admission of the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and
  Lithuania to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

  Read first time and referred to committee on Rules and
  Administration.

  INTRODUCTION OF BILL

  Senate File 43, by Gronstal, a bill for an act requiring school
  districts to perform national and state criminal history background
  checks on applicants for certain school district employment.

  Read first time and referred to committee on Education.

  ADJOURNMENT

  On motion of Senator Iverson, the Senate adjourned at 1:55 p.m.
  until 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2001.
