She addressed the House briefly regarding her career and thanked
the House for the honor.

The House rose and expressed its welcome.

ADOPTION OF HOUSE RESOLUTION 14

Mascher of Johnson and Lensing of Johnson called up for
consideration House Resolution 14, a resolution honoring Christine
Grant, former Women's Athletic Director of the University of Iowa,
and moved its adoption.

The motion prevailed and the resolution was adopted.

CONSIDERATION OF BILLS
Ways and Means Calendar

House File 707, a bill for an act establishing an interstate
distribution center initiative by identifying an activity of a foreign
corporation for which a return is not required for state income tax
purposes and including effective and retroactive applicability date
provisions, was taken up for consideration.

Hoversten of Woodbury asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw amendment H-1586 filed by him from the floor.

Hoversten of Woodbury moved that the bill be read a last time now
and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was
read a last time.

On the question "Shall the bill pass?" (H.F. 707)
