SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 24 SUBSTITUTED
FOR HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 32
Gipp of Winneshiek asked and received unanimous consent to
substitute Senate Concurrent Resolution 24 for House Concurrent
Senate Concurrent Resolution 24, a concurrent resolution
marking the completion of the exterior restoration of the Iowa State
Capitol and honoring the contractors, subcontractors, artisans, skilled
workers, and state employees who contributed to the effort to
complete the restoration.
Gipp of Winneshiek offered the following amendment H-1567 filed
by him and moved its adoption:
1 Amend Senate Concurrent Resolution 24, as passed by
2 the Senate, as follows:
3 1. Page 1, line 6, by inserting after the words
4 "honoring the" the following: "architect,".
5 2. Page 1, line 29, by striking the word
6 "contractors" and inserting the following:
7 "architect, contractors,".
8 3. Page 2, line 2, by inserting after the word
9 "Capitol:" the following: "RDG Bussard Dikis;".
Amendment H-1567 was adopted.
Gipp of Winneshiek moved the adoption of Senate Concurrent
Resolution 24, as amended.
The motion prevailed and the resolution, as amended, was
Manternach of Jones introduced to the House the Honorable Jerry
Welter, former state representative from Jones County and his wife
The House rose and expressed its welcome.
