ADOPTION OF HOUSE RESOLUTION 34
Myers of Johnson called up for consideration House Resolution
34, a resolution honoring the University of Iowa Women's Basketball
Team and Coach Lisa Bluder, and moved its adoption.
The motion prevailed and the resolution was adopted.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Raecker of Polk introduced to the House coach Lisa Bluder and the
University of Iowa Basketball Team. Coach Bluder briefly addressed
the House thanking the House for the resolution, introduced the team
and presented a basketball autographed by the champion team.
The House rose and expressed its welcome.
EXPLANATION OF VOTE
I was necessarily absent from the House chamber on April 11, 2001.
Had I been present, I would have voted "aye" on Senate Files 114 and
355.
