Van Engelenhoven of Mahaska asked and received unanimous
consent to substitute Senate File 372 for House File 657.
Senate File 372, a bill for an act relating to the powers and duties
of the county recorder relating to the recording and keeping of
documents, was taken up for consideration.

Petersen of Polk asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw amendment H-1456 filed by her on April 9, 2001.
Van Engelenhoven of Mahaska moved that the bill be read a last
