The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:50 a.m., Speaker
Siegrist in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Chuck Landon, Director of
Churches United, Rock Island, Illinois. He was the guest of
Representative Cindy Winckler from Scott County.
The Journal of Wednesday, April 11, 2001 was approved.
SPECIAL PRESENTION
Myers of Johnson introduced to the House the Honorable Michael
Moreland former state representative from Wapello County.
The House rose and expressed its welcome.
CONSIDERATION OF HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 30
Tymeson of Madison called up for consideration House
Concurrent Resolution 30, a concurrent resolution encouraging
state and local governments, business interests, health care
professionals, and individuals with an interest in good health to help
educate the public regarding osteoporosis prevention, detection, and
treatment, and designating April 12, 2001, as Osteoporosis
Awareness Day.
SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 23 SUBSTITUTED
FOR HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 30
Tymeson of Madison asked and received unanimous consent to
substitute Senate Concurrent Resolution 23 for House Concurrent
Resolution 30.
