The bill having received a constitutional majority was declared to
have passed the House and the title was agreed to.
House File 598, a bill for an act establishing a child protection
center grant program, was taken up for consideration.
Foege of Linn offered the following amendment H-1334 filed by
him and moved its adoption:
H-1334
1 Amend House File 598 as follows:
2 1. Page 1, line 1, by striking the figure
3 "136.11" and inserting the following: "135.113".
4 2. Page 1, line 5, by striking the words "state
5 board of health" and inserting the following:
6 "director of public health".
7 3. Page 2, line 16, by striking the words "state
8 board of health" and inserting the following:
9 "director".
10 4. Page 2, line 18, by striking the words "state
11 board" and inserting the following: "director".
Amendment H-1334 was adopted.
Amendment H-1363 filed by Foege of Linn from the floor was
placed out of order.
Hoversten of Woodbury moved that the bill be read a last time now
and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was
read a last time.
