IMMEDIATE MESSAGES

House File 519, a bill for an act relating to the qualifications and
duties of the clerk of court, was taken up for consideration.
Jochum of Dubuque offered the following amendment H-1226 filed
by her and Broers of Cerro Gordo and moved its adoption:

1 Amend House File 519 as follows:
2 1. Page 1, lines 33 through 35, by striking the
3 words "Within three months of appointment the clerk of
4 the district court must establish residence and
5 physically reside in the county." and inserting the
6 following: "Within three months of appointment the
7 clerk of the district court must establish residence
8 and physically reside in the county state."
