House File 498, by Van Engelenhoven, a bill for an act changing
the budget certification date applicable to school districts, and
providing an applicability provision.

House File 499, by Murphy, Scherrman, Jochum, and Osterhaus,
a bill for an act relating to bingo games and games using pull-tab
tickets conducted by qualified organizations.

MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE
The following messages were received from the Senate:
Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the Senate has on
March 1, 2001, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the Senate was
asked:
House File 192, a bill for an act authorizing certain criminal history and abuse
record and registry access to the department of inspections and appeals for purposes of
data verification and record checks of applicants for employment with the department.
Also: That the Senate has on March 1, 2001, adopted the following resolution in
which the concurrence of the Senate was asked:
House Concurrent Resolution 17, a concurrent resolution designating March 2001
as Iowa Women's History Month.
Also: That the Senate has on March 1, 2001, passed the following bill in which the
concurrence of the House is asked:
