The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:48 a.m., Speaker pro
tempore Sukup in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Nathan Frazee, pastor of Heritage
United Methodist Church, Waverly.
The Journal of Wednesday, February 28, 2001 was approved.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 455, by Murphy, Mertz, Ford, Dotzler, Hatch, Larkin,
Greimann, Foege, Cohoon, Mascher, and Lensing, a bill for an act
relating to the use of the school lunch and breakfast program
information to identify and assist in the enrollment of children in the
medical assistance and healthy and well kids in Iowa programs.
Read first time and referred to committee on commerce and
regulation.
House File 456, by committee on human resources, a bill for an
act relating to children's program and juvenile court provisions
involving the department of human services in regard to the foster
home insurance fund, group child care providers, juvenile
delinquency and child in need of assistance dispositions, and
termination of parental rights.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 457, by committee on local government, a bill for an
act authorizing an area education agency to serve as fiscal agent for a
community empowerment area board and providing an effective date.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
