  1  1    Section 1.  Section 48A.11, subsection 1, paragraph e, Code
  1  2 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    e.  Social The last four numerals of the social security
  1  4 number of the registrant (optional mandatory to provide).  
  1  5                           EXPLANATION
  1  6    This bill requires a person registering to vote to include
  1  7 the last four numerals of the registrant's social security
  1  8 number on the registration form.  Currently, the registrant is
  1  9 given the option of including the registrant's entire social
  1 10 security number on the registration form.
