1 1 Section 1. Section 303.2, subsection 2, Code 2001, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. k. Administer, preserve, and interpret the
1 4 battle flag collection assembled by the state in consultation
1 5 and coordination with the department of general services.
1 6 EXPLANATION
1 7 This bill specifically authorizes the historical division
1 8 of the department of cultural affairs to manage the battle
1 9 flag collection at the state capital grounds in consultation
1 10 and coordination with the department of general services.
1 11 Current law authorizes the historical division to manage
1 12 historical sites generally as defined in Code section 303.2.
