1 1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY COMMITTEE ON ETHICS
1 3 A Resolution to amend the Senate Code of Ethics.
1 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate Code
1 5 of Ethics for the Seventy-ninth General Assembly shall
1 6 be amended by adding the following rule:
1 7 9A. EMPLOYMENT ADVISORY OPINIONS. A senator shall
1 8 not accept employment from a person, as defined in
1 9 section 4.1, known to have a legislative interest
1 10 before any standing committee upon which the senator
1 11 serves as a chairperson, vice chairperson, ranking
1 12 member, or member without first requesting an advisory
1 13 opinion from the ethics committee pursuant to rule 20A
1 14 regarding any possible conflict of interest the
1 15 employment may raise under this code of ethics.
