  1  4 PROVIDING FOR AGRICULTURAL LAND HELD BY INDIVIDUALS LAWFULLY
  1  5    ADMITTED INTO THE UNITED STATES FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE,
  1  6    AND MAKING PENALTIES APPLICABLE.  
  1  7 
  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  9 
  1 10    Section 1.  Section 567.1, subsection 5, Code 2001, is
  1 11 amended to read as follows:
  1 12    5.  "Nonresident alien" means an individual who is not a
  1 13 any of the following:
  1 14    a.  A citizen of the United States. and who has not been
  1 15 classified as a
  1 16    b.  A person lawfully admitted into the United States for
  1 17 permanent resident alien residence by the United States
  1 18 immigration and naturalization service.  An individual is
  1 19 lawfully admitted for permanent residence regardless of
  1 20 whether the individual's lawful permanent resident status is
  1 21 conditional.
