  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  648.1A   NONPROFIT TRANSITIONAL
  1  2 HOUSING EXEMPTED.
  1  3    This chapter shall not apply to occupancy in housing owned
  1  4 by a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide
  1  5 transitional housing for persons released from drug or alcohol
  1  6 treatment facilities or to provide housing for homeless
  1  7 persons.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill excludes occupancy in housing owned by nonprofit
  1 10 organizations whose purpose is to provide transitional housing
  1 11 for persons released from drug or alcohol treatment facilities
  1 12 or to provide housing for homeless persons from forcible entry
  1 13 and detainer actions and remedies.
