1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 483A.8A HUNTING LICENSE
1 2 PREFERENCES FOR REAL PROPERTY OWNERS.
1 3 If the commission restricts the number of hunting licenses
1 4 or tags which may be issued during a season pursuant to
1 5 section 481A.38, a nonresident applicant for a hunting license
1 6 or tag who owns real property in this state shall be given
1 7 preference over a nonresident applicant who does not own real
1 8 property in this state.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill provides that if the natural resource commission
1 11 restricts the number of hunting licenses or tags due to
1 12 biological balance or other factors, a nonresident who owns
1 13 real property in this state is to be given preference in the
1 14 issuance of a hunting license or tag over a nonresident
1 15 applicant who does not own real property in this state.
