  1  1    Amend Senate File 2279, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 1 through 3, and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  Section 272C.4, unnumbered paragraph
  1  6 2, Code Supplement 2001, is amended to read as
  1  7 follows:
  1  8    The commissioner of insurance shall by rule in
  1  9 consultation with the licensing boards enumerated in
  1 10 section 272C.1, require insurance Insurance carriers
  1 11 which insure professional and occupational licensees
  1 12 for acts or omissions which that constitute
  1 13 negligence, careless acts or omissions in the practice
  1 14 of a profession or occupation to shall file reports
  1 15 with the commissioner of insurance appropriate
  1 16 licensing board. The reports shall include information
  1 17 pertaining to incidents by claims against a licensee
  1 18 which may affect the licensee as defined by rule,
  1 19 involving an insured of the insurer.  The commissioner
  1 20 of insurance shall forward reports pursuant to this
  1 21 section to the appropriate licensing board."
  1 22    #2.  By striking page 3, line 34 through page 4,
  1 23 line 3 and inserting the following:
  1 24    "Sec.    .  Section 508.31A, subsection 2,
  1 25 paragraph a, Code 2001, is amended by adding the
  1 26 following new subparagraph:
  1 27    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (3)  A person other than a
  1 28 natural person that has assets".
  1 29    #3.  Page 4, by inserting after line 4, the
  1 30 following:
  1 31    "Sec.    .  Section 507E.7, subsection 3, Code
  1 32 2001, is amended by striking the subsection."
  1 33    #4.  Page 5, by striking lines 7 through 13.
  1 34    #5.  Page 9, line 20, by inserting after the word
  1 35 "company" the following:  "organized under this
  1 36 chapter or".
  1 37    #6.  Page 9, line 27, by inserting after the word
  1 38 "company." the following:  "This section does not
  1 39 apply to insurance producers or a business entity
  1 40 whose contract with an insurer authorized to do
  1 41 business in this state contains a written provision
  1 42 expressly reserving to the insurer all right, title,
  1 43 and interest to the ownership or the use of insurance
  1 44 business written by such an insurance producer or
  1 45 business entity."
  1 46    #7.  By renumbering, redesignating, and correcting
  1 47 internal references as necessary.
