  1  1    Amend Senate File 2318 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 16 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. 100.  GAAP.  The department of revenue and
  1  5 finance and the office of the auditor of state are
  1  6 directed to study the impact this Act may have on the
  1  7 balance of the general fund of the state according to
  1  8 generally accepted accounting principles, especially
  1  9 the impact on the 2005-2006 fiscal year.  The report
  1 10 shall contain the data used and recommendations made.
  1 11 The report shall be submitted to the legislative
  1 12 council and its fiscal committee by August 15, 2002.
  1 13    Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE.  Section 100 of this
  1 14 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
  1 15 effect upon enactment."
  1 16    #2.  Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
  1 17 word "tax" the following:  ", providing for a study,
  1 18 and including an effective date".
