  1  1    Amend the House amendment, S-5139, to Senate File
  1  2 2146, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate,
  1  3 as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 5 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "#   .  Page 2, line 8, by inserting after the word
  1  7 "people." the following:  ""Terrorism" does not mean
  1  8 or include acts done in furtherance of any objective
  1  9 that is legal under the laws of the United States or
  1 10 of the state of Iowa.  The terms "intimidate",
  1 11 "coerce", "intimidation", and "coercion", as used in
  1 12 this definition, are not to be construed to prohibit
  1 13 picketing, public demonstrations, and similar forms of
  1 14 expressing ideas or views regarding legitimate matters
  1 15 of public interest protected by the United States and
  1 16 Iowa constitutions.""
