1 3 #1. Page 4, by inserting after line 19, the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . Section 99B.7, subsection 3, Code 2001,
1 6 is amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 7 NEW PARAGRAPH. d. The department may issue a
1 8 limited license without fee to a qualified
1 9 organization if the total cost of the prizes to be
1 10 distributed at a raffle conducted by the qualified
1 11 organization is one thousand dollars or less. If a
1 12 prize consists of more than one item, unit, or part,
1 13 the aggregate cost of all items, units, or parts shall
1 14 not exceed one thousand dollars. If the prize is
1 15 merchandise, its cost shall be determined by the
1 16 purchase price paid by the organization. If the prize
1 17 was donated to the organization, its cost shall be
1 18 determined by the purchase price paid by the donor."
