  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-3546, to the House
  1  2 amendment, S-3535, to Senate File 203, as passed by
  1  3 the Senate, as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 29 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    ""Sec.    .  Section 257.31, subsection 5, Code
  1  7 2001, is amended by adding the following new
  1  8 paragraph:
  1  9    NEW PARAGRAPH.  m.  Unusual costs associated with
  1 10 increased utility expenses over the level of utility
  1 11 expenses incurred during the preceding or second
  1 12 preceding school year.  The committee shall consider
  1 13 all requests received prior to July 1, 2001, pursuant
  1 14 to this paragraph by no later than July 1, 2001."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
