  1  1    Amend Senate File 524 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, line 8, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "department." the following:  "Appointments of voting
  1  4 members are subject to the requirements of sections
  1  5 69.16 and 69.16A.  In addition, the appointments shall
  1  6 be geographically balanced.  Unless the secretary of
  1  7 agriculture determines that it is not feasible, at
  1  8 least one person appointed as a voting member shall
  1  9 reside in each of the state's congressional districts
  1 10 at the time of appointment."
  1 11    #2.  Page 4, line 8, by inserting after the word
  1 12 "wineries." the following:  "To every extent feasible,
  1 13 the programs shall provide assistance to persons
  1 14 located in all regions of the state."
