  1  1    Amend Senate File 348 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 32 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "j.  Be subject to and comply with chapter 284
  1  5 relating to the student achievement and teacher
  1  6 quality program.  A pilot charter school that complies
  1  7 with chapter 284 shall receive state moneys or be
  1  8 eligible to receive state moneys as provided in
  1  9 chapter 284 as if it did not operate under a charter."
  1 10    #2.  Page 16, by inserting after line 21, the
  1 11 following:
  1 12    "Sec.    .  CONDITIONAL EFFECTIVENESS.  Section
  1 13 256F.5, subsection 1, paragraph "j", as enacted in
  1 14 this Act, takes effect only if 2001 Iowa Acts, Senate
  1 15 File 476, is enacted."
  1 16    #3.  Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
  1 17 word "schools" the following:  "and providing for a
  1 18 conditional effective date".
  1 19    #4.  By renumbering as necessary.
