  1  1    Amend Senate File 170 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 13 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  92.7A  SIXTEEN AND
  1  5 SEVENTEEN – HOURS PERMITTED.
  1  6    Unless a person sixteen or seventeen years of age
  1  7 agrees voluntarily to the employment hours, the person
  1  8 shall not be employed with or without compensation,
  1  9 except as provided in sections 92.2 and 92.3, before
  1 10 the hour of seven a.m. or after nine p.m., except
  1 11 during the period from June 1 through Labor Day when
  1 12 the hours may be extended to eleven p.m.  If the
  1 13 person is employed for a period of five hours or more
  1 14 each day, an intermission of not less than thirty
  1 15 minutes shall be given.  The person shall not be
  1 16 employed for more than eight hours in one day
  1 17 exclusive of intermission, and shall not be employed
  1 18 for more than forty hours in one week, unless the
  1 19 person voluntarily agrees to the employment hours.
  1 20 Unless the person voluntarily agrees to the employment
  1 21 hours, the hours of work of a person sixteen or
  1 22 seventeen years of age employed outside school hours
  1 23 shall not exceed four in one day or twenty-eight in
  1 24 one week while school is in session.  The employment
  1 25 of a person who is sixteen or seventeen years of age
  1 26 shall not be terminated because the person refused to
  1 27 work beyond the hours specified in this section."
