  1  1    Section 1.  Section 100B.11, Code 2001, is amended by
  1  2 adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  4.  This section is repealed July 1, 2007.
  1  4    Sec. 2.  2000 Iowa Acts, chapter 1232, section 98, is
  1  5 amended by striking the section.
  1  6    Sec. 3.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1  7 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill extends the repeal of the volunteer emergency
  1 10 services provider death benefit established in Code section
  1 11 100B.11 from July 1, 2002, to July 1, 2007.
  1 12    The bill takes effect upon enactment.
