1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 7A.24 PAPERWORK REDUCTION –
1 2 STUDY MEMBERSHIP.
1 3 Any committee, group, or organized study formed to examine
1 4 methods of reducing the volume of paperwork generated or
1 5 required by state agencies shall include, in addition to any
1 6 other member or group, individuals representing state
1 7 employees whose job responsibilities include completing or
1 8 filling out various state forms. The input of such employees
1 9 shall be considered in making decisions regarding paperwork
1 10 reduction and the practicality of maintaining paperwork
1 11 requirements.
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This bill provides that any committee, group, or organized
1 14 study formed to examine methods of reducing the volume of
1 15 paperwork generated or required by state agencies shall
1 16 include state employees whose job responsibilities include
1 17 completing or filling out state forms. The bill provides that
1 18 the input of the state employees shall be considered in making
1 19 decisions regarding paperwork maintenance or reduction.
