  1  1    Section 1.  Section 262.9, Code Supplement 2001, is amended
  1  2 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  29.  Prohibit the institutions of higher
  1  4 education under its control from scheduling during their
  1  5 regular intercollegiate sports calendar any intercollegiate
  1  6 football game to occur on a Friday.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill directs the state board of regents to prohibit
  1  9 the universities under its control from scheduling football
  1 10 games for Fridays during their regular intercollegiate sports
  1 11 calendar.
