  1  1    Section 1.  Section 35A.12, Code Supplement 2001, is
  1  2 amended to read as follows:
  1  3    35A.12  MILITARY VETERANS HONOR GUARD SERVICES.
  1  4    An honor guard unit made up of members of a recognized
  1  5 military veterans organization as listed in section 35A.2 or
  1  6 37.2 or a reserve officers training corps shall be allowed to
  1  7 perform any honor guard service on public property.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill provides that members of a reserve officer
  1 10 training corps shall be allowed to perform honor guard
  1 11 services on public land.
