PAG LIN 1 1 HOUSE FILE 635 1 2 1 3 AN ACT 1 4 PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN EMPLOYEES ARE NOT ENTITLED TO 1 5 COMPENSATION FOR TIME SPENT TRAVELING TO AND FROM THE 1 6 WORKSITE. 1 7 1 8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: 1 9 1 10 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 91A.13 TRAVEL TIME TO WORKSITE 1 11 NOT COMPENSABLE. 1 12 Unless a collective bargaining agreement provides 1 13 otherwise, an employee is not entitled to compensation for the 1 14 time that an employee spends traveling to and from the 1 15 worksite on transportation provided by the employer, when 1 16 during that time, the employee performs no work, the 1 17 transportation is provided by the employer as a convenience 1 18 for the employee, and the employee is not required by the 1 19 employer to use that means of transportation to the worksite. 1 20 An employee is entitled to compensation for the time that an 1 21 employee spends traveling between worksites if the travel is 1 22 done during working hours. 1 23 1 24 1 25 1 26 BRENT SIEGRIST 1 27 Speaker of the House 1 28 1 29 1 30 1 31 MARY E.
