1 4 RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATION AND CARE OF THE IOWA BATTLE
1 5 FLAG COLLECTION.

1 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 9 Section 1. Section 303.2, subsection 2, Code 2001, is
1 10 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 11 NEW PARAGRAPH. k. Administer, preserve, and interpret the
1 12 battle flag collection assembled by the state in consultation
1 13 and coordination with the department of veterans affairs and
1 14 the department of general services. A portion of the battle
1 15 flag collection shall be on display at the state capitol and
1 16 the state historical building at all times, unless on loan
1 17 approved by the department of cultural affairs.
