  1  1    Amend Senate File 2315, as passed by the Senate, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 4, line 7, by striking the words "an
  1  4 equal amount" and inserting the following:
  1  5 "$25,000,000".
  1  6    #2.  Page 4, line 12, by striking the figure
  1  7 "$25,000,000" and inserting the following:
  1  8 "$65,000,000".
  1  9    #3.  Page 4, by inserting after line 12 the
  1 10 following:  "Of the moneys appropriated in this
  1 11 subsection, $40,000,000 shall be appropriated to the
  1 12 department of education for the fiscal year beginning
  1 13 July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, for purposes
  1 14 of the student achievement and teacher quality program
  1 15 pursuant to chapter 284.  Notwithstanding section
  1 16 8.33, any moneys remaining unencumbered or unobligated
  1 17 from the appropriation made in this section shall not
  1 18 revert but shall remain available in the succeeding
  1 19 fiscal year for expenditure for the purposes
  1 20 designated.  The provisions of section 8.39 shall not
  1 21 apply to the funds appropriated pursuant to this
  1 22 section."
  1 23    #4.  Page 4, by striking line 17 and inserting the
  1 24 following:  "which is supplanted by the $25,000,000
  1 25 appropriation from the Iowa economic".
