1 1 Amend House File 2501 as follows:
1 2 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 3 clause and inserting the following:
1 4 "Section 1. Section 232.147, Code Supplement 2001,
1 5 is amended by adding the following new subsection:
1 6 NEW SUBSECTION. 12. The juvenile court may
1 7 release a juvenile court record that modifies an award
1 8 of child custody, as described in this subsection, to
1 9 the child support recovery unit. If the juvenile
1 10 court issues an order that modifies the existing child
1 11 custody order such that legal custody and physical
1 12 care of the child are no longer awarded to the parent
1 13 who had previously been granted legal custody and
1 14 physical care, but instead provides that legal custody
1 15 and physical care are permanently awarded to the
1 16 obligor as defined in section 252B.1, the juvenile
1 17 court shall issue a notice of the order to the child
1 18 support recovery unit created in section 252B.2. The
1 19 notice shall include the name, social security number,
1 20 and last known address of each parent, the name and
1 21 date of birth of the child, a statement that the
1 22 obligor has been granted legal custody and physical
1 23 care of the child, and the effective date of the
1 24 juvenile court order modifying the previous custody
1 25 order. Upon receipt of the notice from the juvenile
1 26 court, the unit shall send an application for child
1 27 support services as provided in section 252B.4 to the
1 28 parent to whom the order awards legal custody and
1 29 physical care of the child."
1 30 #2. Title page, lines 1 and 2, by striking the
1 31 words "expanding the jurisdiction of the juvenile
1 32 court to include modifying" and inserting the
1 33 following: "relating to notices to the child support
1 34 recovery unit by the juvenile court of the
1 35 modification of".
