1 1 Amend House Resolution 101 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, line 7, by inserting after the word
1 3 "REPRESENTATIVES," the following: "That rule 4 of the
1 4 permanent rules of the House of Representatives for
1 5 the Seventy-ninth General Assembly, is amended by
1 6 adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
1 7 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. All individuals,
1 8 including members and employees of the house, who
1 9 enter the capitol building on any occasion when the
1 10 metal detectors and X-ray scanners on the ground floor
1 11 of the capitol building are operational and who are
1 12 allowed to enter the chamber of the house or the house
1 13 galleries, shall first pass through one of the metal
1 14 detectors on the ground floor of the capitol building
1 15 and shall submit their parcels, briefcases, and other
1 16 containers to the security personnel for X-ray
1 17 scanning.
1 18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
1 19 REPRESENTATIVES,".
