1 4 #1. Page 4, by striking line 5 and inserting the
1 5 following:
1 6 "# . Page 9, line 29, by inserting after the
1 7 word "issues." the following: "The objective of the
1 8 study shall be to evaluate the viability of
1 9 establishing the state of Iowa as a distance learning
1 10 center. The study shall identify distance learning
1 11 technology opportunities between interested agencies
1 12 and entities involved in or potentially involved in
1 13 distance learning activities, including but not
1 14 limited to K-12 schools, area education agencies,
1 15 institutions of higher learning, the public
1 16 broadcasting division of the department of education,
1 17 the department of education, the Iowa communications
1 18 network, the information technology department, and
1 19 military and private sector institutions or
1 20 agencies.""
