  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1684, to Senate File 528, as
  1  2 passed by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 3 through 5 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 8, by inserting after line 10, the
  1  6 following:  
  1  7                      "DIVISION ___
  1  8   MOTOR VEHICLE USE TAX REVENUES – DESIGNATED USE""
  1  9    #2.  Page 1, by striking line 16, and inserting the
  1 10 following:  "state, with five million dollars of this
  1 11 amount allocated annually for the implementation and
  1 12 funding of section 101 of this division of this Act.
  1 13    Sec. 101.  PRESCRIPTION DRUG PROGRAM.  The Iowa
  1 14 department of public health shall provide direct
  1 15 services to participants in the program developed by
  1 16 the department as a result of the directive to the
  1 17 department under the federal Consolidated
  1 18 Appropriations Act, 2001, H.R. 4577 to establish and
  1 19 operate a mercantile prescription drug purchasing
  1 20 cooperative or nonprofit corporation demonstration.
  1 21    For the purposes of this section, "direct services"
  1 22 includes but is not limited to all of the following:
  1 23    1.  Subsidization of the costs of pharmaceuticals
  1 24 purchased by members of the cooperative.
  1 25    2.  Subsidization of the membership fees of low-
  1 26 income members as determined by the department.
  1 27    3.  Provision of pharmaceutical assistance consumer
  1 28 education programs for seniors.
  1 29    4.  Any other direct service provided to members
  1 30 under the cooperative.""
  1 31    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
