  1  1    Amend Senate File 355, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 6, by inserting after line 24 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "4.  Materials that encourage the parent to
  1  6 consider placing the child for adoption.  The
  1  7 materials shall inform the parent of the process of
  1  8 adoption and its benefits, including the requirements
  1  9 for confidentiality in the adoption process, the
  1 10 importance of adoption to individuals and to society
  1 11 in general, and the state's interest in encouraging
  1 12 parents to choose the option of childbirth followed by
  1 13 adoption rather than abortion."
