  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1331, to House File 695 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 1 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 1, by inserting after line 4 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Sec.    .  Section 15.364, subsection 6, Code
  1  8 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  9    6.  That in addition to the base wage paid to the
  1 10 participant, the employer shall pay an additional sum
  1 11 to be held in trust to be applied toward the
  1 12 participant's postsecondary education required for
  1 13 completion of the certified program.  The additional
  1 14 amount must be not less than an amount determined by
  1 15 the department of economic development to be
  1 16 sufficient to provide payment of tuition expenses
  1 17 toward completion of not more than two academic years
  1 18 of the required postsecondary education component of
  1 19 the certified program at an Iowa community college or
  1 20 an Iowa public or private college or university.  This
  1 21 amount shall be held in trust for the benefit of the
  1 22 participant pursuant to rules adopted by the
  1 23 department of economic development.  Payment into an
  1 24 ERISA-approved fund for the benefit of the participant
  1 25 shall satisfy this requirement.  The specific fund
  1 26 shall be specified in the agreement.  An employer that
  1 27 is a consortium of two or more employers shall not be
  1 28 subject to the requirements of this subsection.""
  1 29    #2.  Page 1, by striking line 13 and inserting the
  1 30 following:   "agreement which may include instructor".
  1 31    #3.  Page 1, line 15, by inserting after the word
  1 32 "costs" the following:  "per program".
  1 33    #4.  Page 1, line 16, by striking the word
  1 34 "coordination." and inserting the following:
  1 35 "coordination."
  1 36    #5.  By renumbering as necessary.
