  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1245, to House File 583 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    "#1.  Page 1, by striking lines 16 and 17 and
  1  4 inserting the following:  "make reasonable efforts to
  1  5 provide notice to persons engaged in performing pump
  1  6 services on July 1, 2001, that such persons shall have
  1  7 until January 1, 2002, to register with the department
  1  8 and thereby become certified without examination.""
