1 2 #1. Page 4, by inserting after line 3 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. ___. Section 455B.190A, Code 2001, is
1 5 amended by adding the following new subsection:
1 6 NEW SUBSECTION. 7. A well contractor who is
1 7 engaged in performing pump services on July 1, 2001,
1 8 and who registers as a pump installer with the
1 9 department by January 1, 2002, shall be deemed to have
1 10 met the certification requirements of this section
1 11 without examination. Beginning January 1, 2002, a
1 12 pump installer seeking an initial well contractor
1 13 certification shall meet the requirements for
1 14 certification established in this section.
1 15 Sec. ___. NOTIFICATION. The department shall
1 16 notify any person currently performing pump services
1 17 regarding the requirements of this Act."
