  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1294, to House File 637, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 8 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 8, by inserting after line 35 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Sec.    .  Section 256.67A, Code 2001, is amended
  1  8 to read as follows:
  1  9    256.67A  INSURANCE ELIGIBILITY.
  1 10    Personnel employed by a regional library service
  1 11 area shall be considered state employees for purposes
  1 12 of eligibility for receiving employee health and
  1 13 dental insurance as provided to state employees by the
  1 14 department of personnel.  If a regional library
  1 15 service area elects to participate in a state employee
  1 16 health and dental insurance program, the regional
  1 17 library service area shall continue to pay the costs
  1 18 of employee participation in a program from funds
  1 19 appropriated for purposes of the regional libraries
  1 20 library service areas by the general assembly.""

  1 22 following:
  1 23    "#   .  Page 9, by inserting after line 8 the
  1 24 following:
  1 25    "Sec.    .  Section 256.68, subsection 2, Code
  1 26 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1 27    2.  In addition to funds received under subsection
  1 28 1, a regional library service area board of trustees
  1 29 may individually or cooperatively apply to the
  1 30 commission of libraries for available grants.""
