  1  1    Amend the Committee amendment, H-1011, to House
  1  2 File 1 as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 16 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 1, by inserting after line 17 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Sec.    .  Section 476.44, Code 2001, is amended
  1  8 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  9    NEW SUBSECTION.  3.  Commencing with the 2003
  1 10 calendar year, an amount equal to four percent of the
  1 11 annual kilowatt-hours of power supply services sold to
  1 12 consumers by each rate regulated electric and gas
  1 13 utility shall be attributable to an alternative energy
  1 14 production facility.  Commencing in the 2005 calendar
  1 15 year, the amount shall be increased to six percent and
  1 16 commencing in the 2007 calendar year the amount shall
  1 17 increase to eight percent.  The Iowa utilities board
  1 18 shall promulgate rules to implement this subsection.""
