The Senate resumed session at 8:50 p.m., President Kramer presiding. Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that action on Senate File 2411 be temporarily deferred. UNFINISHED BUSINESS (Deferred March 1, 2000) Senate File 2324 The Senate resumed consideration of Senate File 2324, a bill for an act relating to DNA profiling, deferred March 1, 2000. Senator Hammond offered amendment S-5049, filed by Senators Hammond, Dvorsky, and Bolkcom on March 1, 2000, to page 1 and to the title page of the bill and moved its adoption. Senator Maddox raised the point of order that amendment S-5049 was not germane to the bill. The Chair ruled the point well taken and amendment S-5049 out of order. Senator Dvorsky asked and received unanimous consent that action on Senate File 2324 be deferred. CONSIDERATION OF BILL (Regular Calendar) Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent to take up for consideration Senate File 2348. Senate File 2348 On motion of Senator King, Senate File 2348, a bill for an act relating to the loess hills development and conservation authority by creating a hungry canyons alliance and providing membership guidelines for board of directors of the conservation authority and loess hills alliance, was taken up for consideration.
