Amendment H-8303 was adopted.
Boddicker of Cedar offered the following amendment H-8354, to
amendment H-8162, filed by him and moved its adoption:
H-8354
1 Amend the amendment, H-8162, to House File 2229, as
2 follows:
3 1. Page 2, line 9, by inserting after the word
4 "performed" the following: "or shall be mailed to the
5 patient by regular mail or by restricted certified
6 mail, as defined in section 618.15, as requested by
7 the patient".
8 2. Page 2, by striking line 22 and inserting the
9 following: "agencies available, categorized by the
10 type of services".
11 3. Page 3, by striking lines 8 through 10 and
12 inserting the following: "provided. The referring".
13 4. Page 3, by striking lines 19 through 28, and
14 inserting the following:
15 "5. On or before October 1, 2000, the department
16 shall cause the information referred to in subsection
17 2 to be published in printed format. The information
18 shall be provided in an easily comprehensible manner.
19 The information shall be published in a typeface large
20 enough to be clearly legible. The printed information
21 shall be available from the department at no cost,
22 upon request, and in an appropriate number, to any
23 person."
Amendment H-8354 was adopted, placing lines 27 and 28 of
amendment H-8252, previously adopted, out of order.
Foege of Linn offered the following amendment H-8210, to
amendment H-8162, filed by him and moved its adoption:

3 1. Page 2, line 13, by striking the words "unborn
