ADOPTION OF HOUSE RESOLUTION 109
Jager of Black Hawk called up for consideration House Resolution
109, a resolution honoring Masons and Masonic bodies in the State of
Iowa for their continued outstanding philanthropic efforts across our
entire state, and moved its adoption.
The motion prevailed and the resolution was adopted.
On motion by Rants of Woodbury, the House was recessed at 1:25
p.m., until 3:30 p.m.
AFTERNOON SESSION
The House reconvened at 3:38 p.m., Speaker Siegrist in the chair.
QUORUM CALL
A non-record roll call was requested to determine that a quorum
was present. The vote revealed seventy members present, thirty
absent.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 2487, by Schrader, Wise, T. Taylor, Cohoon, Larkin,
Chiodo, Frevert, Connors, Greimann, Murphy, Ford, D. Taylor,
Myers, Kreiman, Kuhn, Reynolds, Richardson, Falck, Bell, May,
Osterhaus, Mertz, Thomas, Bukta, Jochum, Cataldo, Weigel, O'Brien,
Dotzler, Mascher, Mundie, and Holveck, a bill for an act making an
appropriation to the department of education to provide direct
services to the most at-risk senior high school students through direct
intervention by a job placement specialist.
Read first time and referred to committee on appropriations.
