The House met pursuant to adjournment at 1:07 p.m., Speaker
Siegrist in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend A. Pete Petersen, pastor of St.
John's Lutheran Church, Craig.
The Journal of Friday, February 25, 2000 was approved.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by members of the Scottish Rite
Masonic Temple of Cedar Rapids and various Masons from
throughout the state.
PETITIONS FILED
The following petitions were received and placed on file:
By Davis of Wapello, from twelve constituents of the 93rd district
favoring passing the parity in pension benefits for all law
enforcement officers.
By Davis of Wapello, from four hundred thirty-nine constituents of
the 93rd district favoring the DOT to proceed with the near east
bypass off Highway 63 at Eddyville.
By Greiner of Washington, from four hundred thirty-nine
constituents of the 96th district favoring the DOT to proceed with the
near east bypass off Highway 63 at Eddyville.
