Siegrist in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend James Van Roekel, pastor of
Bethany Reformed Church, Des Moines.
The Journal of Wednesday, January 26, 2000 was approved.
PETITIONS FILED
The following petitions were received and placed on file:
By Bukta of Clinton, from the Clinton County Board of Supervisors
favoring mental health parity.
By Garman of Story, from thirty-two constituents favoring House
File 2003, an act providing for the incorporation of a special
demonstration component in an examination to obtain licensure as a
practitioner of cosmetology arts and sciences.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 2084, by committee on human resources, a bill for an
act prohibiting body piercing of persons less than eighteen years of
age without prior written notarized consent of a parent, providing for
injunctive relief, and providing a penalty.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 2085, by committee on agriculture, a bill for an act
relating to health certificate requirements for breeding bulls and
making penalties applicable.
