  Senator Lundby asked and received unanimous consent that
  Senate Concurrent Resolution 8 be withdrawn from further
  consideration of the Senate.

  IMMEDIATELY MESSAGED

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that
  Senate Files 254, 306, 407, 410, 431 and House Concurrent
  Resolution 13 be immediately messaged to the House.

  CONSIDERATION OF BILL
  (Regular Calendar)

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent to take up
  for consideration Senate File 249.

  Senate File 249

  On motion of Senator Deluhery, Senate File 249, a bill for an act
  relating to the operation and regulation of insurance companies,
  including the treatment of certain confidential information by the
  commissioner, the operation of certain types of insurance companies,
  and the rights and duties of insurance companies under certain
  policies issued in this state, was taken up for consideration.

  Senator Jensen offered amendment S-3078 filed by Senators
  Jensen and Deluhery on March 16, 1999, to pages 1 and 4 of the bill
  and moved its adoption.

  Amendment S-3078 was adopted by a voice vote.

  Senator Deluhery moved that the bill be read the last time now
  and placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote,
  and the bill was read the last time.

  On the question "Shall the bill pass?" (S.F. 249), the vote was:
