  presiding.

  Prayer was offered by Father Jerry Kopacek, of St. Mary's,
  Marshalltown, Iowa.

  The Journal of Tuesday, February 9, 1999, was approved.

  SPECIAL GUEST

  Senator Jensen presented the Honorable Richard Vande Hoef,
  former member of the Senate, and his wife Harriet.

  LEAVES OF ABSENCE

  Leaves of absence were granted as follows:

  Senator Fraise for the remainder of the week, on request of Senator Hansen.

  Senator Lundby for the day, on request of Senator King.

  INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
