Prayer was offered by Reverend Richard Harken, pastor of First 
Presbyterian Church, Boone.
The Journal of Monday, April 5, 1999 was approved.

By Boddicker of Cedar, from thirty-two constituents of the 39th 
district favoring a fuel quality standard for Iowa.
By Falck of Fayette, from ten constituents favoring a fuel quality 
standard for Iowa.
By Schrader of Marion, from sixty constituents favoring a fuel 
quality standard for Iowa.
By Tyrrell of Iowa, from one hundred twelve residents of Iowa 
opposing elimination of the veterans property tax credit.
By Weigel of Chickasaw, from sixteen constituents favoring a fuel 
quality standard including ethanol.
