	I was necessarily absent from the House chamber on Wednesday 

morning, March 17, 1999. Had I been present, I would have voted 
"aye" on House Files 308, 461, 489, 584, 588, 651, 656, 658 and 659.

I was necessarily absent from the House chamber on Wednesday, 
March 17, 1999. Had I been present, I would have voted "aye" on 
House Files 308, 461, 489, 584, 588, 651, 656, 658 and 659.
REYNOLDS of Van Buren
I was necessarily absent from the House chamber on Thursday, 
March 18, 1999. Had I been present, I would have voted "aye" on 
House Files 115, 443, 571 and 637.

BILL SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR
A communication was received from the Governor announcing that 
on March 18, 1999, he approved and transmitted to the Secretary of 
State the following bill:
House File 330, an act relating to the supervisory authority of the state banking 
division with regard to bank holding company acquisitions and the ability of state 
banks to make loans to any one person.
PRESENTATION OF VISITORS
The Speaker announced that the following visitors were present in 
the House chamber:
Forty seventh and eighth grade 4-H students from Poweshiek, 
Iowa, Benton and Tama Counties, accompanied by Nancy Allen. By 
Carroll of Poweshiek, Horbach of Tama, and Tyrrell of Iowa.
Fifty-eight junior class students from Underwood High School, 
Underwood, accompanied by five faculty sponsors and one parent. By 
Drake of Pottawattamie.
